Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge #440

After following with Mojo Monday for about 3 months, I decided I wanted to jump in and join the sketch challenges. Don't know how often I will be able to participate, but while it is Spring Break I thought it would be fun to participate.

And here is the sketch that was put out this week:

I used Basic Grey Eva 6x6 collection with Bazzill for my cardstock.
The brads were in my stash.
The stamp set is from Stampin' Up Elegant Inspirations.

Thank you for stopping by.

House Mouse & Friends Challenge

How does time fly so fast?  It seems like it was just a few months ago that I posted to this blog and it now been almost 2 years.  Working at a school makes time fly like no tomorrow. I never seem to have time for anything, but it is now Spring Break and I am taking time to do some challenges.  I have missed doing challenges from the internet.

This one is from House Mouse & Friends Challenge. The challenge this time is pastel colors.
I just got this stamp yesterday and just had to ink it up. Such a little cutie.

Little Mudpie and jelly beans were colored with copics.
Paper is from Bo-Bunny the Madeleine Collection.

Thanks for stopping by.

Puddle Fun

Had this card made for the House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge, but didn't get this one in on time. But still wanted to share it.  The stamp is Happy Hoppers 'Puddle Fun'. Paper is my stand by Basic Grey, 'Life of the Party' pack. The ribbon and brads are from my stash.  I just love this imagine, it is just refreshing, especially since we don't see enough rain for an umbrella around here in central California. With drought conditions we would love to see rain puddles around here, very large puddles.

Hope you enjoy this little guy as much as I enjoyed putting it together.
Thanks for stopping by.

Tin Can Showers

It's another House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge.  Thought I'd try this little Tin Can Shower as another challenge card.  BTW, if you haven't figured it out, our challenge this week is Splish Splash.
I haven't had time to get into the challenges lately.  Work has a way of getting in the way of play.  But with the end of the school year, all the stress that goes with it, I have had to spend time at my crafting table and get rid of the stress.  All day we kept saying, 'It's Friday and we get 3 days off, we're gonna make it.'  After that we have 2 days, graduation day, Friday to get my part of school closing done and then 70 glorious days off.

Okay, played with the Tin Can Shower and of course my favorite Basic Grey papers.  I stitched the two papers together on this one.  The embellishments are melted perler beads. Click here for the link to see some of these.  The perler beads are used quite a bit by the kids, (big or small), and then melted with an iron.  Some of us decided to try this a different way.  Put your beads on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.  Put in a preheat 325ยบ oven for 25 minutes.  Allow to cool about 5 minutes and you are ready to start using them.
Anyway, this is the 2nd of 3 cards that I have ready for this week's challenge.  The next one will be ready in a day or two.  Thanks for looking.

Another House Mouse Monday Challenge

It has definitely been a while since I put a card together for the House Mouse Monday Challenge.  It has been so crazy at work, I don't have the energy to think about what works on a card.  I colored this image about a month ago and was please with how it turned out.  Figured it might make a great card for this challenge.
I used the House Mouse stamp Leap Frog.  I have had this stamp for some time.  It has been inked and images stamped but just never seemed to get it to turn out right.  Must have been in the right frame of mind this time as it colored so easy.
The paper is Basic Grey's Archaic.
Thanks for looking.

Masculine Card

It has been a bit, I missed the last House Mouse Monday Challenge, but didn't want to miss this one. Anything Masculine.  I found this image and thought, that is something my husband and his son might try to do. Why not put this on a masculine type card.
I used the House Mouse 'What a Pit' stamp. My papers are from Basic Grey Clippings.  Ribbon is from my stash.
Who can resist these little meeces.  Hope you enjoy.

Warm Cup

It is time for another House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge.  Our challenge this week was our choice as long as we used a House Mouse, Happy Hopper or Gruffie in our creation.  I just bought 2 new stamps last night and decided to use Warm Cup for this challenge. I have wanted this stamp for some time and found it at a very unexpected store last night. I also got Baby Booties, that is the next one to play with.
I also combined this challenge with one on a yahoo group that I belong to.  Our challenge was to use pink & orange or pink & green. I decided to use all three together.
Paper is from Authentique. Brads and ribbon are both from my stash.
Hope everyone enjoys and have a great  night.

Have a Grape Day!

It is time for another House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge.  I had to think for a bit on this one.  The image itself was easy, and it is an image that I love to play with.  My difficulty was the amethyst color.  I don't work with purple shades very often. It is my birthstone, but just not a color that I wear, or use as a main point.  Well, thanks to my friends at House Mouse Challenge, I used it this time.
Before I share my card for this challenge, I want to thank all of our friends at House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge.  They have really motivated me.  Before our move 6 months ago, my stamping and scrapping basically had ceased to be. First my set up was not convenient to work with and then everything was getting packed as our previous house went into escrow.  I now have a large, well-lit room to work in and hubby and spoiled me rotten adding items to make it a convenient work space.  I promise to share pictures as soon as I get it cleaned up again. But back to our friends, thanks to them, I am stamping, coloring and scrapbooking again.  I have finished my baby girl's (4-legged, furred baby) albums since we lost her almost 3 years ago. Working on some old family photos right now and almost finished with an aunt that has intrigued me for some time, as I never meet her as she died when I was about 8 months old.

Okay enough, I have a House Mouse card that I have finished and have ready to share with everyone.
I used Grape Dreams for this one, with Have A Grape Day for the sentiment.  The purple and green cardstock are from Bazzill but the patterned paper was part of my stash. The brads and gauzy ribbon are from my stash.
Thanks for stopping by.

With All My Heart

I have another card for the House Mouse Monday Challenge.  After watching the Big Flop of a game, I decided to drown my sorrows in another card. I did not follow the traditional colors of love on this card, but love how it came out.
The stamp is With All My Heart.
Paper is Basic Grey Picadilly
Twine is Doodle Twine.
The hearts on top are from the charms that I received from America in an earlier challenge. Thank you again America, have been using them more than I use to because of your generous gift.

Thanks so much for stopping by and looking at my card.
