Back with a Mousie Card for the Basic Grey Challenge

Can't believe I have 3 cards already today.  I still have time to make one or two more.  Yahoo!!!!!  Love crafty days like today.
Anyway, this card is for the Basic Grey Challenge 47.  This week's challenge was to use stitiching, whether real or faux stitiching.  Since my sewing machine is not where it is easy to get to, thought I'd try faux stitiching, that didn't work well either.  Sooooo....I went to this cute little House Mouse image that has stitching on it.  I believe it saved me.

I used Basic Grey's Archaic 6x6 paper pad for this challenge.  Don't you just love these paper pads.  Paper is already coordinating, no thinking or trying to figure out what goes together.  Thank you Basic Grey for making my life simplier with these paper pads.

Okay, here is my card:

The stamp is House Mouse 'Sew What'.  Paper is Basic Grey Archaic. The button brads are from my stash.
The image was colored with both copics and prismacolor markers.
Thank you Basic Grey for these challenges.  Sure gets me crafting and thinking.

Thank you for visiting my little blog.  All of us enjoy you coming by and saying Hi!
God Bless and have a great evening.

Mousie Time

I have been neglecting my little mice lately.  They were my first love, then came my newest love.  Well, time to go back and give these sweet little friends some attention.
I have some major problems with this image, c'mon it is a very simple image to color, why was I having  problems.  Figured out, I just don't have the purples close enough together to get a good shading on the popsicle.  Changed to orange and the image came out like I had been picturing.
Of course, the stamp is from stampabilities a House Mouse stamp.  The paper is once again Basic Grey, from the Oh Baby collection.  The brads and flowers are from my stash.
Hope you enjoy this little cast of characters and their popsicle.
Thanks for coming to visit us and as always, God Bless.

Magnolia

I finally have another Magnolia stamped and put together on a card.  Still not sure how well I like this one, but we are always are own worst critic.

I paper pieced our little girl this time.  First time I have done this and do like the results of this technique.
This picture is actually washed out, the colors are more vivid that what they appear here.  The flowers actually match the background paper very well, but not in this picture.
Paper used is Basic Grey.  The flowers are from my stash.  Our little Maggie is colored with Prismacolor markers and copic markers.  The shapes were cut with my nestablities.

Thank you for visiting my humble little blog.  I so appreciate and look forward to visitors.

Some of my Best Friends

It is that time again, the Christmas Stampin All Year Long challenge.  Each week a new challenge is put out, if you follow and participate all year, you will have 52 cards made.
This week is an inspiration photo:

This one gave me a bit of trouble and still not sure if I like the card I came up with, but it will work for now.
The stamp set is an older Stampin' Up set called Flaky Friends.  I have had lots of fun with this one in the past and thought I would turn to it again.  I could not even begin to tell you who the DP is from.  I have had it in my stash for several.  I do know that it was in a 4 1/2 x 6 paper pack.  The brads are all from my stash and who they are from are unknown.

Hope you enjoy.  Thanks for stopping by and God Bless.

Patriotic Card

I found some new paper yesterday and couldn't wait to play with it.  The paper is from BoBunny the Liberty Collection.  Since I love any paper that is patriotic, I knew I had to have it.  Decided to partner 'Oh Boy, Ian' with this paper this time.

This card went together very quickly and I am pleased with the results.  I loved the sketch from Simon Says Stamps Challenge, that I decided to try it on another card.  All of the paper is from BoBunny, the star brads are from my stash.
Thanks for looking and hope you enjoy Ian.

Greeting Farm Ryan

I have another card today.  Wow, this is my second card today.  I had a lot of fun with this card.  This is for a sketch challenge over at Simon Says Stamps Challenge.  The challenge for this week is a sketch challenge.

This is such a fun sketch to work with.  I used The Greeting Farm's Ryan, such a fun image to play with.

I used Basic Grey's Oxford paper.  I just found this at my LSS last night and just had to try this paper.  The word is from TAC and the flowers are paper flowers from Forever in Time.  I colored Ryan with Prismacolor Markers, Tri-Art markers and copic markers.
I am just starting my copic collection, I have the markers to do his hair and skin.  So you will probably see lots of brunettes in my cards until I can get some new markers.  I am loving these copics, I was not ready for these markers when I first bought my prismacolor markers, but I am finally advancing enough that I am ready for more challenges with coloring.  I am learning to shade, it is slow but getting there.
Thanks for looking, enjoy the company.

Have a Grape Day

I am back with another card for you today.  This one is a House Mouse card, another one of my addictions.  I love these cute little guys.  This one is for the House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge.  This week's challenge #98 is summer.  With this in mind, I chose our little friends with grapes, a very refreshing and definitely summer fruit.

On this card I used the Stampabilities House Mouse Grape Lunch stamp, also used Stampabilities Grape Day word stamp.  The paper is an unknown from my stash.  Paper flowers from Forever in Time.  Micro brads from my stash.  The purple cardstock is Bazzill and white cardstock Georgia Pacific with memento ink.
I colored our little friends with Prismacolor Markers, Tri-Art Markers and Copics.
Thanks so much for stopping by and visiting, as I love company.

Fancy Anya

Time for another challenge card.  This time I have gone to the Basic Grey Challenges.  The challenge this week is to use Hot Pink, Lime Green and Kraft/Brown.  Of course you must you a Basic Grey item.
I picked Fancy Anya, colored her with prismacolor pencils with oms.  I used the Basic Grey paper pad,
Euphoria.  The sentiment is TAC.  The brads and buttons are both also from Basic Grey.

Thank you for visiting and hope you have a Blessed Day.

Another Challenge Card

One of these days I will get it together and be able to make one card and have it fit several challenges at one time.  But since I haven't learned that art yet, (as I am still looking at the different challenges to decide which ones to partcipate in on a regular basis), so here is a challenge card for Danni's Flutterby Wednesday.
Danni and her DT come up with some awesome cards.  This week's challenge was to use pink, orange and green.  And of course don't forget to have an butterfly, fairy or angel on the card.
I went with flowers and a butterfly today.

I chose a Stampa Rosa stamp from 1999 for the image.  I embossed the outline as I stamped it.  Colored it with my prismamarkers.  Paper is from SEI, Jocelyn series.  Butterfly is from K&Company.  The ribbon and brad buttons are from my stash.
Thanks for coming by and looking.

Black, White & Red Challenge

I was able to get another challenge card made this evening.  This one is a Christmas card.
This card is for the Christmas Stampin' All Year Long.  The challenge this week is Black, White and
one other color.  No more than this.  Now since I am not one to make a lot of different projects, I
opted to make a card since I am going to need Christmas cards and these challenges are a great way to
get your cards made.

Here is my card for this challenge:

The stamp is from Stampin' Up called City of David.  I love this set.  A very simple set, but elegant in
its simplicity.  The white paper is my normal Georgia Pacific cardstock, the black and red are from my
stash.  Also used a red sparkle embossing powder, white micro brads, and my nesties.

Cupcake Anya - Challenge Card

I have decided to start entering some of the challenges that are out in cyber land.  It can be a bit of an intimating task.  There are so many very talented people out there making cards, but hey, we all have to start somewhere.

I picked the Simon Says Stamp! Challenge Blog for this particular card.  This week's challenge was bingo!!!!
Since I love bingo, I figured this would be a very good challenge try.

I picked the top row - buttons, eyelets, flowers.  Everyone was working with images from The Greeting Farm.  Since I have fallen in love with these images, I wanted to use this also.

My image is a digital image called Cupcake Anya.  I used Basic Grey's Cupcake paper.  The eyelets, buttons and flowers are all items from my stash.  Anya is colored with both prismacolor markers and copic markers.
Thanks for stopping by and looking.

I had this little card on my desk half finished last night and thought I would get it finished before starting something new today.  I am so loving these Greeting Farm images, but i believe I have said this several times in the last few days.
Anyway here is Ian:

Ian was colored with copic and prisma markers. The paper is all paper from my stash and then I added dew drops for a touch.
Thanks for stopping by and thank you for looking.

3rd Post Today & A Challenge Card for Christmas Stampin' All Year Long

I have been having fun all weekend as you can tell from the amount of cards I have been putting on the blog.
This card is for the challenge at Christmas Stampin' All Year Long.  The challenge this week was to make a fun card to give a child this holiday season.
I really was having trouble with this one.  The first card I posted today, I thought about using, but hubby said, nah, not quite a card for a child.  So, I thought about it and looked at the challenge again and noticed that MacKenzie used an image from The Greeting Farm.  Well, I love those stamps and got an idea.
I used Ryan from The Greeting Farm, the paper is from Basic Grey's Eskimo kisses, cardstock is SU and I used prismamarkers and copic markers to color.  Button is from my stash.
Hope you enjoy the card I made for the challenge.

Mini Magnolia

Here is my first mini Magnolia.  I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with her at first, but was scanning through my cardmaker magazine and saw a layout that sparked this card.
All the supplies on this card are from my stash.  The butterfly is from a set by K&Company.
Thanks for looking.

First Christmas Card

I finally broke down and started my Christmas cards for this year.  I don't want to do like last year when I had to do a bunch in a short amount of time.  Once again I made a center step card.  Not sure if I really like this one, but I made and I'll share it.  The stamp is by Judith.  All the rest paper, brads and flower were all items from my stash.  Let me know what you think.

Happy Hopper Gate Fold Card

Finally finished another card.  I finished the image last night, but have been sitting here looking at it trying to decide how I wanted to finish it.  Remembering that I had a bunch of scor-pal tutorials to try, I picked one.  Of course I picked a very simple fold, but still one that I hadn't done before.  Very easy to fold this one.  One that I will do again, as it is easy and it has a nice look to it.
The only problem with this card is keeping it closed.  I fixed that problem by using the brad button in just the right spot to hold the image and keep the card closed.
I used the Happy Hopper stamp It's my Party, prismamarkers, SU cardstock and dsp.  Not sure the company on the brad button.

Center Step Card

I have finally made my first center step card.  The directions can be found here at SCS.  I had put off trying this card as I thought it would be difficult, but this card is so easy to make.

Once again I used one of digi stamps.  This is cupcake Anya.  All of the paper is from my stash and I don't remember who it is from.  Anya was colored with copics and prismamarkers.

Here is the side view of the card:

I want to thank everyone for stopping by.  I love the comments and they keep me going.  Thank you so much.

Country Anya with Mojo Monday Sketch

How is everyone this evening?  I have been busy with different projects today, but have finished 2 different cards.  The first one is Country Anya.  On the House Mouse group the Mojo Monday Sketch was shared with us.  I really liked the looks of this sketch and this is my take on it.  Hope you enjoy.

Here is the sketch that I used:

I used The Greeting Farm Country Anya digi stamp.  Colored her with prismamarkers.  All of the paper is items that have been in my stash for some time, so I am not sure what it is.
Thanks for visiting.

Sassenech Anya

Here is another Greeting Farm Anya card that I finished tonight. Like I said, I love this little girl and wished that I had all of them, but alas it is not to be right now.

This is the Sassenech Anya digi from The Greeting Farm, paper is Basic Grey Ambrosia. She was colored with prismacolor Markers.

As you can tell, I am trying to learn how to shade the hair a bit differently and didn't have a lot of success on this one, but I am learning.

Hope you enjoy my little lady.

Another Country Anya

Thought I'd share another version of Country Anya that I also finished last night.
This little lady is also done with The Greeting Farm Country Anya digi stamp. The paper is from the Basic Grey Eva line.
The flower is a prima flower and i used a fiskar border punch. She was colored with Prismamarkers and tri-art markers.

I've been MIA

Well, I guess I have been MIA for a long time, about 16 months to be exact. I am going to try and get back into the swing of things and start sharing again, I really miss it.

School is out until August now, we have finished putting most of the house together, well the house it put together, it is just having that big yard sale to get rid of a bunch of stuff.

I have started working on cards again. It took quite a while after getting into this house, but I think I finally have it together again.

Though they been out for some time, I have discovered the world of Magnolia Stamps and The Greeting Farm Anya and Ian. Love these little people.

I needed to get an Anya and Ian fix, and get it quick so I bought some digi stamps to keep me going for a while.

Here is the first card I did with one of the images.

The stamp is The Greeting Farm Country Anya Digi, paper is Basic Grey Marrakech, word is from SU, cardstock and brads are ones that have been in my stash for a while.
