Have a Grape Day!

It is time for another House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge.  I had to think for a bit on this one.  The image itself was easy, and it is an image that I love to play with.  My difficulty was the amethyst color.  I don't work with purple shades very often. It is my birthstone, but just not a color that I wear, or use as a main point.  Well, thanks to my friends at House Mouse Challenge, I used it this time.
Before I share my card for this challenge, I want to thank all of our friends at House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge.  They have really motivated me.  Before our move 6 months ago, my stamping and scrapping basically had ceased to be. First my set up was not convenient to work with and then everything was getting packed as our previous house went into escrow.  I now have a large, well-lit room to work in and hubby and spoiled me rotten adding items to make it a convenient work space.  I promise to share pictures as soon as I get it cleaned up again. But back to our friends, thanks to them, I am stamping, coloring and scrapbooking again.  I have finished my baby girl's (4-legged, furred baby) albums since we lost her almost 3 years ago. Working on some old family photos right now and almost finished with an aunt that has intrigued me for some time, as I never meet her as she died when I was about 8 months old.

Okay enough, I have a House Mouse card that I have finished and have ready to share with everyone.
I used Grape Dreams for this one, with Have A Grape Day for the sentiment.  The purple and green cardstock are from Bazzill but the patterned paper was part of my stash. The brads and gauzy ribbon are from my stash.
Thanks for stopping by.

Kim, we'd never know you don't use purple often as your card looks so beautiful as if it was a natural color combo for you to work with all the time. Your birthday must be around this time, so let me say Happy Birthday. I love how you colored this darling image and how you presented it with that gorgeous background paper and your touches of green. (that is one of my favorite color combos) Love the dotted scallops also. I just came back from checking out Myndi's pages. Just out of this world terrific. The very fist scrap book I ever made was of my "babies". I'm very glad you had your fabulous time with her. I'm also glad you have a nice room to create in now and thankful that we gave you some inspiration to work with purple. We love to see your cards here and are very happy that you have joined in here with us at House Mouse & Friends. Hopefully we will see you for the next challenge as well. Enjoy your weekend, Kim.
