Tri Shutter Card

I have seen several of these cards made and just had to give it a try. Had been putting it off thinking it was going to be very complicated, it's not. A bit time consuming for the first one, but I expect the next one will go quicker.
Netta orginally shared this card with us, check out Netta's Blog.
I had fun with this card and plan to make another one real soon.
Here are the
instructions.

Mustard Seed

I just acquired this stamp, along with several others like it this weekend. The stamp is made by 'Stampourri' and dated 1995. I absolutely love this image and the bible verse with it. Which is so true, If we just have faith, we can do anything.

The paper used is some paper that I have had for quite a while and decided it needed to be used, the cardstock is from Stampin' Up.

Sorry I Haven't Been Around Much

I couldn't believe that it has been over a month since I last posted here. I've been bad. Anyway, what has gone on. School is back in session and so I am back at work. Can't wait until things settle down at school. Just found out that I have a large shipment of books waiting to be checked in and sent to classrooms in the morning. Hopefully I'll be able to make some teachers extremely happy, which will make me happy, no more teachers getting upset because I have no books for new students.

I have still been making cards, I have quite a few to share, but one at a time.
This first one is from a set that I just acquired from SU. It is called 'Faeries'. It is retired and was difficult to get, but finally was able to get my hands on it.
Paper is from Bo-Bunny and brads were some that I have had for some time.

Happy Harmony

Here is another Thank You card sample that I made for my chiropractor. All the cards were big hits and now I have to get busy and make a whole lot of them.

This is the Happy Harmony set. Used the Stampin' Up markers, and used the 'huff' technique to stamp this image. Paper is an older Stampin' Up DSP. Though it is a flower image, he loved it because it was 'manly' colors.

Thanks for checking out my blog.

Christmas In July

Hello Everyone, wanted to share a card I made for our MCE (monthly card exchange). This month's theme was Christmas in July. I received Netta's name to send to. I picked this stamp from PSX that I found in all those stamps I picked up. Paper used was from Basic Grey.

Thank You

Another quick card this evening. Set is Stampin' Ups Alphabet Soup. Paper is all Stampin' Up.

Ink is Pumpkin Pie. Buttons are some in my stash. They look like they don't match, but IRL they match really well.

Thanks again for visiting my blog.

1956 ThunderBird Classic

I found this Stampin' Up set in that large lot of stamps that I came across. I love this set, the cars are just awesome in it. Anyway, this done entirely with Stampin' Up supplies except for the ink, which is memento tuxedo black and the dew drops.

Rainy Days

Boy, no post for almost a month and 6 new cards in 24 hours, and I am not finished. I do have a bunch of images colored ready for cards, so hopefully I'll be able to put a lot of cards on real soon. Plus I am going to be needing 30-35 for my chiropractor who has ordered Christian, Thank You and generic that he can make any way he wants.
This card was made with an image from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design. It is from the Victoria Case Hugs and Hearts Collection. If you get a chance go visit Susana's store, you will love it.
While talking about stores, a good online friend of mine just got her online store up and running.
Please go visit Netta and Faye at Stamping Palace.

Anyway, I had just received this image from a friend that was kind enough to share with me, decided to visit my LSS and found this paper by p i g g y tales from the it's raining, it's pouring collection.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to visit Susana, Netta & Faye, you will be pleasantly surprised.

Pansies

Here is a new card that I made this evening. I want to try this same card only in yellow and another in a purple. The stamp is from ASX, the paper is Bo Bunny, cardstock is Stampin' Up.

Thanks for looking.

Christian Based Cards

I was recently asked by my chiropractor to make him some cards. He had mentioned Thank You cards, but then asked if I had Christian based cards. Well I do have some images, but not as many as I would like. Anyway, here are 4 of the cards that I came up with for him.

My Find

I must apologize for being so lack with this blog lately. It seems like I never have enough time in the day to get everything done.

Must share my good fortune with you. Last week I was browsing Craigslist, a favorite past time when nothing else is going on and I just don't want to stamp. Anyway, I found a listing that said she had 27 boxes of stamps. This sure got my interest. Anyway, I called the lady and hubby and I made a quick trip to the coast. I ended up buying all the boxes of stamps that we could find. 38 letter size file storage boxes full of stamps. It took us 3 days to go through all the boxes and see what was there and what I wanted to keep.

This is the first picture.

This is another view.

And this is the final picture.
I still have a mess on my hands, but boy did I find some nice stamps. And the best part is 80-85% of these stamps are brand new.

Just Because

I have been working on this card for a week. Just have not been able to sit down and do this card from start to finish. Stamped it several weeks ago. Colored a bit of it on Monday and finished it on Tuesday or Wednesday. Picked the paper Wednesday night and it has been sitting waiting to be finished.

I did pop the butterfly on this one, have never tried this before, but love the results. The paper is from Basic Grey and the dew drops are from Robin's Egg.

Hope you enjoy this project. I am pleased with the results.

4th Faerie

I seem to be having this thing going with faeries this week. Here is yet another one that I finished tonight. This stamp is from Stamps Happen, called Flower Faeries. I have been eyeing this stamp for quite some time, found it on clearance and just had to get it. This image took almost 4 hours to color, but well worth the time.

Image is done with prismacolor markers. Paper is unknown.
Hope you enjoy this one as much as I do.

Flower & Butterfly

I just bought this stamp the other day and wanted to give it a try. It was stamped with Memento Ink and colored with prismamarkers. The paper is unknown to me. Brads are ones that I have had for some time. This is a totally different type of card for me, but love how it has turned out.

Hope you enjoy this card.

House Mouse Watermelon

Another House Mouse that hadn't seen ink yet. This one was just screaming to be inked and perfect for this time of year. Love how this one turned out. Hope this makes you want to go out and cut the fresh watermelon for tonight's BBQ also. I know I will be.
Paper is from American Craft.
Thanks for looking.

An Early Halloween Card

I had this set of House Mouse acrylic stamps that I bought at Christmas time and had never inked them. I was anxious to give them a try. So here is one that I made the other night.

Paper is from DCWV. The shapes are from my nestability collection.

3rd Faerie

Here is the 3rd Faerire from the set that I bought from Inkadinkado. Had a teacher comment at school the other day about this card. She told me I had used our school colors for her. Hadn't really thought about it when I first made her, but she is our school colors, green and yellow. Once again I have used Basic Grey paper on this card.

Delight

Here is a card I made for our MCE or Monthly Card Exchange on one of the Yahoo groups that I belong to. It is a fun little challenge each month, so months we have a theme and other months we get to make whatever we want. This month was to make something with a lily and the color emerald green. Well, I didn't find any lilies in my collection of stamps, so we could then use any flower. But I also used a green in my card so that helped.
Used the Delight In Life set from Stampin' Up. Hubby made the bow for me with a bowmaker that I found on Ebay.

Thanks for looking and I'll be sharing several more today that I haven't been able to get on here in the last few days.

Another Faerie

Been playing with the faerie stamps again. This is a great set by Inkadinkado. So many possiblities. This little girl is stamped on Georgia Pacific cardstock with memento tuxedo black ink. Paper is from Basic Grey. Coloring medium is my ever present prismamarkers. The faerie and mat are cut with the nestabilities deckle rectangle, a new toy for me.

Hope you enjoy this little girl.

Get Well

I had this image sitting here ready for a card. I colored it some time back and just hadn't done anything with it. Decided to put it to a card tonight. Very simple, but since my mind is not all here, figured this would work just fine.
Supplies included Stampin' Up paper, Basic Grey paper, prismamarkers and large brads.

Thanks for coming to visit.

House Mouse Birthday

Another card made. I must be on a roll. I have done more cards in the last 2 nights than in the last month. Woohoo!!!! Maybe I am back on track, at least until a house is found and we start moving. But I will gladly give up my crafting for a short bit for us to get our own place.
Once again, my favorite little guys House Mouse, using an unknown background paper, prima flowers with mini white brads. An unknown ribbon and my ever faithful prismamarkers.
This is actually for a friend that has a birthday coming up in the very near future.

Thanks for looking and until next time, I hope you are as blessed as I have been lately.

Mother's Day

I have not gotten to spend any time with my stamps and ink lately. I was really starting to have withdrawals. But was able to remedy that last night with this simple little card. I found the flowers at our LSS they are the Mulberry Street by Petaloo. I love these flowers, I have to go back over there tomorrow and hope to pick up another color or two. Thought these were really cute.

Anyway, not much to tell on this card. The image is a Fluffles that was RAKed to me. The flowers by Petaloo and the Sentiment from Stampin' Up. Paper is Stampin' UP and American Craft.

Thanks for looking and I'll see if I can't post a little more often.

I Have Been MIA

I am so sorry that I haven't been around lately. I was hoping during spring break that I would have time to do some crafting, that hasn't happened. Hubby and I have been house hunting. We have finally decided to buy a house instead of putting money in someone else's pocket. We have not had a lot of luck finding what we wanted until this past weekend. We made an offer on the house yesterday and waiting to hear back if it has been accepted or if they will counter offer to us.
This evening I worked at McDonald's for a little over an hour. We are having McTeacher night at McDonald's. The staff at the school is trying to raise money for our parent volunteer dinner next month. The idea is to be able to have the dinner catered instead of several people making the dinner. Though we do have a teacher that has volunteered to make lasgana for about 80 people. If you are making one pan, it is just as easy to make 10. Hope to have a few pictures of this to share in a day or two.
Everyone have a good night and better tomorrow and I will try to have something to share real soon.

Wolf

I finally get to share this card. On one of the yahoo groups I belong to we had a challenge called 'Create A Card'. Your partner was to sent you a card w/envelope, an image (if desired, but not required) and the paper and embellishments that they would like to see in a card. When you receive your envelope you are to create a card with what you are sent. You cannot add anything to it except the pens, pencils or chalk to color the image and adhesive. This sometimes mean really using your imagination. Fortunately, my partner sent me some fun stuff to work with. The image was a bit intimidating at first, but after making a practice copy of the image and playing with that for a bit, I was able to color this. The paper she sent was just awesome to go with the image. Anyway, here is the card I made for Shelly. You can visit Shelly's blog by clicking on Inky Hugz over on the right side.

House Mouse Birthday

I sure haven't been around much lately. We are house hunting and it is getting to be a chore. Have been at it about 11 days now and let me tell you, it is a jungle out there.

It has really cramped my stamping and scrapping time, but in the long run it will definitely be worth it. I will finally have the type of craft room I have wanted for a long time.

Anyway, had to put together a quick birthday card for a co-worker last week, if you call most of the House Mouse stamps quick. It was the first time I had inked this stamp and it was fun to play with.

Scrapbook Pages

I finally was able to take pictures of some of the pages that I have been working on. Just haven't had the time to take pictures. I have about a month to finish this book before it is needed. Guess I need to get in gear and get this finished.
Hope you enjoy. Please forgive the bad pictures of these pages. Just haven't figured out how to take pictures and have them turn out right.

A New House Mouse

I just recently bought a few House Mouse stamps from a lady on Craigslist, gotta love that place. Right after getting my stamps I just had to give them a try and decided this little guy was the one I wanted to ink first.

I do not remember where the paper is from, have had it for several years and the same with the ribbon across the top.
This card is a bit different for me. Using the black and white with just the ribbon, word and grass below his feet for the only color in the card. All in all, I believe this came out cute. Our little guy here looks like he is daring you to believe.

Easter/Spring Card

Here is a card I made for our MCE, Monthly Card Exchange on one of the Yahoo groups I am a moderator on.

I have no idea where I got this stamp from, I just found it amongst all the stamps I have, and it wanted some ink on it.
The paper is from American Crafts and the word Happy Easter is cut from the Pazzles machine.

Alani

This is another page in the album that I am working on for my niece. I have had fun with this one, but then I had an excellent subject. The picture in this layout is of the newest addition to the family. She was just a few hours old when this picture was snapped of Alani Kai and her parents.
Everything from this layout were in a kit from Kurio, which is part of K&Company. The name Alani was cut out from the Pazzles die cut machine.

Bella - To Do List

Finally another project finished. I have just been in a slump all week. I think mainly so tired that I just couldn't focus. While in Montana this last Christmas, I took this Bella image along with many others that had been RAKs and my prismacolor markers and enjoyed many cold nights in front of the wood stove coloring images. So peaceful and relaxing.

Anyway, here is what I do know about this project:
Stamp: Bella
Ink: Unknown
Paper: DCWV dp
Accessories: Prismacolor markers, ribbon, brads.

Page 2

Another page finished. I haven't had time to do anymore as it has been crazy at work and I have been totally exhausted when I get home from work, but I have been able to spend a bit of time playing with my new pazzle.

The family name Smalley is another pazzles creation. I am having fun learning this machine and hope to learn more as the next few weeks come and go.
